The skyrocketing London Grammar trio is releasing a 3 song EP for another single from their debut album If You Wait. The single features the original version if Sights as well as a 2 Step remix from Tourist and a out of this world progressive drum n bass remix from Andy C. iTunes users can Pre-Order the EP here, it will be released officially on June 1st.
Mustard Pimp dropped this sweet free EP about a week ago and I just caught on. The original is an old skool techno club banger which is exactly what I’m expecting from these guys, reminds me of Bizarre Inc a little bit. Run DMT‘s Festival Death Remix turns up the tempo and then rolls off the drop into a heavy dub bass. SPL delivers a solid drum and bass remix with a sweet drum rinse and distorted synth to start it off then lays on some stuttered electro heavy bass lines. Interferon keeps things old skool with an awesome industrial techno remix. Download the whole EP free from the player below.
Alright! Happy Birthday to ME punk ass bitches! That’s right… I’ve made it through more years than I originally planned on being here, so that’s pretty good right?
Anyway, for my birthday… I’m going deep, progressive, soulful, and…. fucking LONDON! That’s right, London Grammar has certainly blown the fuck up this year with appearances on Jimmy Fallon and their debut album rose to the fifth top selling UK album for 2014. And they obviously have done several photo shoots now as there is no shortage of images of the trio. So this weekend, paint the town black with this incredibly gorgeous and club ready remix of Hey Now from Russian producer Arty.
Looking through Architecture In Helsinki‘s press photos, it sure does look like they have a lot of fun together. I’d love to be part of a band like that. Guess that’s one of the drawbacks of being a solo artist, eh? Plus they seem pretty free form with their band overall, sometimes performing with 8 members on stage, other times just 4 or 5. If you’re looking for another taste of AIH’s sound, I highly suggest this number off their Moment Bends LP: Contact High
Andras Fox, another Australian producer, takes their track “I Might Survive” off to another level of airy delight!
p.s. It’s officially final week for me, so if I’m slackin this week… too bad!
