Yes, it’s a Lorde track, get over it. The real star of this post is my man Flume, given name Harley Streten. If you’re checking out my blog, my guess is you’ve probably heard Flume’s work before. This Australian supernova has been on a non-stop rise for the past two years. His single ‘Sleepless’ with Jezzabell Doran is probably my favorite of his earlier work, although ‘Holdin On‘ surpassed it to take the No. 1 spot on the Aussie indie charts. If you haven’t caught his debut album, what the hell are you waiting for?? Meanwhile, get down with this epic collab with Lorde.
p.s. Heads up ATLiens, Flume will be coming to town as part of What So Not at the Mad Decent Block Party in July, get tix!!
Alright, in keeping with the chill dance vibe… here’s a new offering from Matt Relton, aka Kidnap Kid, a 23 year old English producer with about 3 years of official releases under his belt. Wait, 23? doesn’t he look more along the lines of Jonny Lee Miller in this pic? Ok.. maybe not that rugged, but he’s definitely got similar bone structure. Anyway, enjoy this beautiful melody and very kool artwork.
A very talented musician, Bonobo has been crafting beautiful music for well over a decade now and never ceases to find new ways to take you on a trip.
I have very weird taste, and I love it. Now I just need to find the rest of you who can appreciate music like this. Janine Rostron is one super talented musician who is wading through the murky waters of today’s music industry. She’s written songs for major mainstream artists, and yet most people still haven’t heard her original music. Lately she’s been donning a new look, one which intentionally sticks it to the female musician idol worship which tends to blur the lines between musician and model. Please, kick back and enjoy.
New tune from the always atmospheric but incredibly tactful percussionist, Com Truise. If you wake up tomorrow and it’s still Groundhog Day, this will be the song that plays each morning when the alarm radio goes off. Support this Ghostly artist by picking up his Wave 1 EP here
